20+ Years of Surgical Excellence in GI Oncology, HPB Surgery, Robotic Surgery & Advanced Laparoscopic Gastrointestinal Care.
SIMS Hospitals
Dr. Dinesh Ramaswamy is a Senior Consultant Surgical Gastroenterologist and GI Onco Surgeon with more than 20+ years of surgical experience. His practice spans complex gastrointestinal cancers, hepato-pancreato-biliary (HPB) surgery, robotic and advanced laparoscopic procedures — combining academic rigour with a distinctly patient-first philosophy.
Trained at India’s most respected institutions — AIIMS New Delhi, JIPMER and GB Pant — his career has consistently placed him at the intersection of surgery, research and teaching. He believes that great surgery is measured not just by technique, but by the long-term quality of life it restores.
Every consultation is unhurried. Every plan is personalised. Every incision, minimal. It is a philosophy that has helped thousands of patients return to their families, work and passions with renewed confidence.
I’m delighted to share that I was recently featured on the cover of SiliconIndia Healthcare for my work as a GI Cancer Surgeon in Chennai.
The feature highlights my journey, surgical training, and my commitment to providing advanced cancer surgeries that help patients recover better and faster.
I’m truly grateful for this recognition and sincerely thank everyone for their continued trust and support.

Behind every abdominal scan is a person — a parent, a partner, a professional. That reality anchors every clinical decision. Dr. Dinesh’s approach blends precision surgery with quiet empathy: unhurried consultations, honest conversations, and treatment plans built around the life you want to return to.
Minimally invasive whenever possible. Robotic where precision matters most. Open surgery only when it is genuinely the safest path. The technology is chosen for the patient — never the other way around.
“Long-term outcomes are the only outcomes that matter.”
“Great surgery is not only about removing disease — it is about restoring confidence, dignity, and quality of life.”
